This book takes place in the late 1800 hundreds to the early 1900hundreds. In the lands of Europe, a small town not to far away from London. The themes of the book would be just how judgmental people could be at that time in history, the expectations some had of others were far to extreme in some cases. Being able to love who you wanted was not a option in these times simply because you married to be comfortable. Now and days you marry for love and happiness, not only to be comfortable. People are still judgmental, but not like they use to be. By judgmental I mean how they look at a person and criticize them for being who they are and for the relationships and things they wanted. There is a whole assortment of poetic themes and some artistic themes as well about this book and it contents. I found this poem on line about Pride and Prejudice First Impressions http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2454892/1/First_Impressions_a_Poem. Everyday people are judgmental and presume to know you because of a first impression. Do not assume anything about a person until you actually know them. Because they just may surprise you and show you that there is more to them than meets the eye.

Conflicts with feelings

In the novel there is many conflicts between the characters that evolve. Some feelings of love, hate and confusion play a big part in the initiating all the commotion. Loving someone takes a lot to do especially if your uncertain of their feelings and if they are returned. Many obstacles are to blame as well as different opinions on the situation. Jane and her sister Elizabeth both have found suitable husbands to marry, but not for money or a title just because they have actual true feelings something the society did not look highly upon back then in the 1800s. But many factors play a part in the how everything plays out. Both Darcy and Mr. Bingley leave Netherfield and return to the city of London. Leaving the girls broken hearted and unsure of why they would just leave. This is where judgemental people come into the picture and cause complications and are the reason for both gentleman leaving. Despite all of this commotion the girls still hold on to hope that they will return.
